About the Book

The World We're From is possibly the world's most coveted poetry. A new style and a voice for future generations to make reference to. Inspired by my life, struggles, conflicts, fantasies, and realities. Through poetry I want to connect with someone with different views on issues that we have in common, guide someone into a world beyond their own, and spark conversation and debates for years to come.
About the Author: On May 6th, 1994 Andontte Symone Arnold was born in Lorain, Ohio. However, 12 days later he was separated from his birth parents and sent into Foster care. There, his name was changed to Jimmy Gore. For almost six months the Gores flaunted the young baby at gatherings, church and many more places. Then, one particular day a family of three came to the foster home looking for another child to call their own. A mother and daughter spotted Jimmy from a distance, and fell in love on sight. Despite adoption rules, the family was able to adopt Jimmy the same day. Soon after, Jimmy's name transformed into Brian Kennedy Stewart. Brian actively grew up in Euclid, Ohio. He played multiple sports such as: baseball, football, track & field, and his favorite, Hockey. During his junior year in high school he discovered the gift of writing poetry. So he soon began to write endlessly and improve his poetry skills. Brian acceded in all aspects of school and though very shy, made numerous amounts of friends. His senior year he wrote a script titled "Harsh Reality" which made Scenarios USA's Real Deal national semi-finals. However, Brian realized he was living an unhealthy lifestyle for a 17-year-old, so he attempted to get help. Suddenly, he fell in deep depression and attempted suicide. The day after his attempt, his family told him he was adopted. Moreover he had to spend a week in a mental institution. But, that wouldn't be his last trip. Several months later after being arrested for theft Brian attempted suicide again, and after another failed attempt he was sent back to the mental institution. Even after those trials, Brian graduated from Euclid High School a month and a half later. Dreadfully, during the year growing conflicts between the family and Brian escalated. Then, with no home, Brian resided at the City Mission Crossroads Crisis Center for most of his summer after graduation. There he has decided to make some changes in his lifestyle and behavior. In August Brian began attending the King's College in New York City where he's able to have a fresh start with his life. In late July, Brian was able to visit New York City while attending Scenarios USA's Youth Leadership Conference. Along with other youth he learned more about himself and society around him. In 2012, his poem "Can't Do" was published by Creative Communications, and "Couldn't" was published in Who's Who 2012. In contrast, to releasing his book; his story isn't over yet.
