You shouldn't spend your time listening to the advice of people who have never done what you want to do. You should never get fitness tips from an over-weight trainer, business tips from your broke Uncle Jim, or marital tips from someone who has been divorced three times. If you think like a successful entrepreneur and do what a successful entrepreneur does wouldn't you become successful? If you only get your advice from some college professor or academic who has never achieved business or financial success, isn't it likely that you will never achieve success as well? My friend you need to listen to a successful entrepreneur. I am not qualified to give you fitness tips or advice on how to improve your golf swing, but I was the "United States Small Business Administration Entrepreneur of the Year" because I know how to start and grow businesses.
Over the years I've started numerous successful businesses and organizations of my own. As I've traveled around the country helping these people and organizations, I've discovered that the process of achieving success in any type of business is very similar. If you go down the wrong path, bad things happen. If you implement the "best practice" business strategies that have been proven to work time and time again, you will succeed.
It doesn't matter how many hours you pour into your website updates or how many sales calls you make if you are doing it the wrong way. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how smart you are if you don't have the right keys.
