About the Author: Jennifer Heath is an independent curator, award-winning cultural journalist, writer, editor, and activist. Among her many traveling exhibitions are THE VEIL: VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE SPACES, which toured the United States frm 2008-2013, THE ART WE LOVE TO HATE: BLACK VELVET, and THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY: PARALLEL PATHS-PALESTINIANS, NATIVE AMERICANS, IRISH an exploration of post- and current colonialism, co-curated with Dagmar Painter, and launched in September 2013. Her "locavore" exhibit in 2010, RESURRECTIONS: eco-LOGY & eco-NOMY, invited artists to create functional, everyday objects from trash, and featured satellite exhibitions, RISING TIDES: TRASHING THE OCEANS and TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING: NUCLEAR WASTE .
