Wie alle Bibeltexte ist auch das Lukas-Evangelium nicht als historischer Bericht zu verstehen. Man verfehlt seinen Sinn, wenn man es so liest, als würde es über etwas berichten, das in ferner Vergangenheit geschah. Nährender und heilsamer sind seine Erzählungen, wenn wir sie als Sinnbilder auf unsere Seele einwirken lassen. Ihre Bedeutung liegt nicht in der geschichtlichen Zeit, sondern in einer Realität, die mit der historischen Zeit mitschwingt. Epen sind wogende, rhythmisch gefasste Heldengesänge. Dieser Satz ist ein Vers, genauer gesagt ein epischer, antiker Hexameter. Sobald man eine Erzählung in solchen Versen gliedert, wandelt sich nicht nur die Form, sondern auch die Schwingung des Gesagten. Werden die Verse laut gelesen, spürt man ihre harmonisierende Wirkung auf den Organismus. Auch bei allem, was wir tun, sagen, fühlen oder denken schwingen unablässig Rhythmen mit, die Körperrhythmen der Atmung und des Pulses. Sie sind wie Abbilder der Ewigkeit in unserem zeitlichen Dasein. So hebt auch der rhythmisch gefasste Heldengesang das Erzählte aus der geschichtlichen Zeit heraus und lässt es zu etwas werden, das im Jetzt mitschwingt. Der Held wird zu einer Realität, die uns unmittelbar angeht.
About the Author: Leonard Heffels studierte Kunst in Maastricht und Pädagogik in Amsterdam. In seinem literarischen Werk setzt er sich immer wieder mit biblischen Themen auseinander. Dabei bewegt er sich im Grenzbereich zwischen Lyrik und Prosa, so zum Beispiel in "Wer mit Gott geht". Auch seine Novellen "Hiobs Freunde" und "Marthas Geschick" sind geprägt von einem lyrischen Sprachstil, der eine große atmosphärische Dichte schafft. Gleichzeitig werfen sie ein neues Licht auf ihre Protagonisten, die einfühlsam und tiefsinnig dargestellt werden. Bei TWENTYSIX erschien von ihm ferner der historische Roman "Daniels Vermächtnis" und der unkonventionelle Glaubensroman "Sieben". Unter dem Pseudonym Nerodal Feh Fesl veröffentlichte er den zweiteiligen Roman "Die Vorbotin". https: //www.leonard-heffels.org
