Sie ist einer der bedeutendsten und wirkungsreichsten Texte der Philosophiegeschichte. Auch heute noch wird sie in einigen ethischen Belangen herangezogen und als Beitrag zu gegenwärtigen Debatten gelesen. Diese Aktualität liegt unter anderem in der Zeitlosigkeit der Fragestellungen begründet, denen sich Aristoteles zuwendet. In der "Nikomachischen Ethik" beschäftigt sich Aristoteles unter anderem mit der Frage nach der Lust, dem Glück, der Gerechtigkeit, der Tugend und der Freundschaft und somit mit Fragen, die eine solche Allgemeinheit besitzen, dass sie auch nach mehr als 2300 Jahren noch Relevanz für die Menschen und ihre Wirklichkeit haben. Aristoteles behandelt in der "Nikomachischen Ethik" ebenfalls die Frage nach der Zuschreibbarkeit von Handlungen. Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, herauszuarbeiten, welche Strukturen von Verantwortung bereits in der "Nikomachischen Ethik" zu finden sind. Da der Begriff der Verantwortung ein verhältnismäßig junger ist und es ihn zu den Zeiten von Aristoteles noch nicht gab, gilt es zu untersuchen, ob in seinem Werk eine äquivalente Beschreibung für dieselbe Bedeutung zu finden ist. Im ersten Teil der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine kurze Einführung in das Thema Verantwortung gegeben. Dabei ist es nicht das Ziel, die Entwicklungsgeschichte des Verantwortungsbegriffs wiederzugeben oder verschiedene Verantwortungskonzepte darzustellen. Stattdessen soll eine Grundlage für die folgende Untersuchung geschaffen werden, indem ein spezifisches Verständnis von Verantwortung dargelegt wird. Davon ausgehend werden im zweiten Teil der Arbeit die Kapitel 1-7 des dritten Buches der "Nikomachischen Eth
