Durante inmemoriales generaciones, los tremealos siempre se han dedicado a la ganadería trashumante. Vaqueros a caballo que conducían reses por los vetustos caminos de Castilla. Sin importar la lluvia. Ignorando los inviernos fríos. Sin cuidado de lo que pudiera suceder más allá de la sierra. Viendo pasar reyes, dictaduras y democracias mientras perduraban sus ancestrales costumbres. Nadie jamás sufrió el peso de la Historia. Empero, ahora el ocaso de un oficio milenario se cierne sobre ellos. La amenaza última, que pondrá patas arriba todo su mundo tal y como lo conocieron. Tremealos es una novela de identidad que versa sobre el fin del Ser antropológico, que da paso al ciudadano. Sobre la conciencia del propio grupo enfrentada a la Historia que arrasa con todo. El convulso siglo XX, con sus dolorosos claroscuros, servirá de marco para guiar las andanzas de Julián, personaje real y literario al mismo tiempo, en busca de su lugar en el mundo. Acechado por el peligro de verse alejado de sus raíces en un intento de interpretar su pasado, a veces críptico, otras veces erosionado por el propio devenir, rebelándose contra esta colectividad impalpable llamada España.
About the Author: Gabriel Barrios Martín (Madrid, 1976), licenciado en Historia y Máster en creación literaria, ha residido y realizado proyectos en Nueva York, Berlín, Vilnius y Londres, entre otros lugares. Proveniente del mundo del celuloide y con una fuerte formación artístico-filosófica, ha filmado más de diez cortometrajes y escrito varios guiones para cine. Su última obra, "Júpiter," recibió el premio "Por la Clara Teología" en el Festival Internacional de Cine "Artodocs" de San Petersburgo, Rusia, y obtuvo excelentes críticas en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Rochester, Nueva York. Mantiene desde hace diez años su blog sobre poesía "La Vida en el Valle." Ha escrito dos recopilatorios de poesía, "Reloj de Arena" y "Leves Retazos de un Pasado Presente," este último también plagado de fotografías que ha realizado el propio autor: "Me considero un visitante de espacios ajenos. Testigo de la contradicción como motor de cambio y heredero del individuo como posibilidad activa de la Historia."
