I've become fascinated with this new way of telling stories about the things I see and think when I go to areas of this country and other exotic places around the world. This book in Korean language is a collection of my travelling stories.
About the Author: Dr. Won Ho Chang is professor-emeritus of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. My last book, Destiny of a Running Horse, was reviewed by friends who were honest enough to say that it would have read better if I had taken out a number of my personal episodes. However, that book was perfect for use in my election campaign to become a director of the Third Laguna Hills Mutual Board-and I was elected with the highest number of votes last year. Since then, I've been working hard to learn about the process of directing the policies of a large retirement community and haven't had time to revise the book I intended to publish for the celebration of our golden wedding anniversary this year. I've also realized that I'm not destined to write bestsellers or to make my living solely from my writing. I was encouraged to receive sizable royalties in 2010, but those have faded over the last year. I sincerely express my gratitude to all those friends who bought my book from Amazon, but I won't try to make any money from this collection of my travelling stories. This book is a collection of those stories. I was once told by my grandfather that my life's destiny came under the sign of the "running horse," and that destiny would one day carry me around the world. The Confucian source of that prophecy, The Book of Changes, considered one person's lifespan to be sixty years. I've now surpassed that span by more than a decade, but my destiny keeps me running. Now, as a retiree, I've settled at Laguna Woods Village, in California, but I will continue to travel the world and search for renewed meaning in my life.
