The Schism now out of focus, the race for the Staff of the Gods begins. Will Botalia and team be able to stop the others from achieving ultimate power, or will their minds be corrupted to chase the power for themselves?
Tanten Flynn and team were able to escape from the Magistrate Association without much of a challenge amidst the outbreak of the Schism. With the altar piece in their possession, their mission of obtaining the Staff of the Gods grows closer.
Botalia and crew team up with two Professionals, also council members of the Magistrate Association, in an attempt to stop Tanten, Atlas, and however many other enemies they may face on their mission to come. They travel to Qoterra, a land of magic and mystery, danger and peril. A continent where the threat of a run-in with another team is the least of their worries as they traverse treacherous terrain, encounter strong, mystical creatures, and enter into territories protected by the ancient tribes of the land.
If Tanten arrives and restores the altar piece to the original structure, the mission will take them all beyond the realm they've been trained for. All teams will have to enter a dimension created by life force itself, containing dangerous and, up until now, mythical beasts, unknown diseases, and a ruined city with a hunger long overdue to be satiated. The pulse of the realm is none other than the object known as the Staff of the Gods.
But even these dangers may be minimal to the obsession the staff causes in its believers and those who wish to obtain it for their own selfish deeds. Those individuals and their loyalty to the legend may be the greatest danger Botalia and team will face yet.
Book Two of The Chimera's Requiem, THEIR LOYALTY TO LEGEND, transports us through the perspectives of the many teams vying for the altar piece, the puzzle piece that will lead to the druidic realm, the only passage to the Staff of the Gods. While the dangers of the forested, mountainous continent of Qoterra seem dangerous, there may be no greater danger than a run-in with a team of life force users. Though perhaps even that threat pales in comparison to the perils to face them in the druidic realm created once the altar has been restored to prior glory.
This action adventure tale takes the stories of Indiana Jones but if the team consisted of X-Men, a quest of magic wielders competing for a mystical artifact and willing to stop at nothing to acheive their goals. Also for fans of Fullmetal Alchemist and HunterXHunter with unique magic tailored to the individual users along with some political intrigue and a diverse cast of characters.
