Universität Flensburg) (Institut für Psychologie, Abteilung Gesundheitspsychologie und Gesundheitsbildung), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit analysiert aus salutogenetischer Sicht die Entstehung süchtigen Tabakkonsums und geht der Frage nach, warum es einigen Personen leichter gelingt, ihr Risikoverhalten aufzugeben, während andere notorisch rückfällig werden. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die traditionell dichotom und pathologisch ausgerichtete Perspektive auf 'Tabakkonsum' zu erweitern und neue Impulse für das Beratungsangebot zu geben. Zentrale Punkte sind, dass Rauchen als Verhalten und die Zigarette als Objekt für Raucher in erster Linie als Ressource fungieren. Dafür wird das Risikoverhalten im Kontext der Entwicklungsaufgaben der Lebensphasen, in der das Verhalten anfänglich praktiziert wird, sowie im Spiegel der Identitätsbildung analysiert. Es wird verdeutlicht, dass Rauchen als Verhalten bzw. die Zigarette als Objekt einer individuell spezifischen Bedeutungszuschreibung unterliegen. Diese folgt einem Kontinuum mit zunehmender Intensität von selbstrelevanten Aspekten und bedingt dadurch individuell unterschiedliche Affinitäten: Das eine Extrem kennzeichnet ein situativ euthymes Raucherleben. Der andere Pol ist durch ein Raucherleben markiert, welches identitätsrelevante und emotionsregulierende Funktionen erfüllt. Zwischen den Polen befinden sich in unterschiedlicher Intensität Raucherleben, die z.B. an Teilidentitäten gebunden und somit zeitlich begrenzt sind. Je intensiver Rauchen als Verhalten mit zentralen identitätsrelevanten Aspekten und Emotionen ursächlich verknüpft wurde, desto höher ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines 'unerklärlichen' Rückfalls/notorischer Rückfälligkeit, und zwar so lange, bis die individuelle Bedeutungszuschreibung dem Betroffenen bewusst ist.
