El poemario Surcos es una obra que profundiza en los sentimientos de rencor y desolación que surgen de una persecución implacable, ya sea física, emocional o espiritual. Cada poema actúa como una cicatriz en el alma, marcando el dolor sufrido. A través de metáforas agrarias, como los surcos labrados en la tierra, el autor traza un paralelismo entre el terreno árido y la vida de un individuo perseguido, cuyas heridas internas se profundizan con cada paso obligado por una amenaza constante.

En cuanto a las temáticas y el estilo, la obra destaca la persecución como un ciclo eterno, donde la víctima siente que no hay escape posible. Los versos largos y densos transmiten el peso del tiempo y el agotamiento de quien huye, pero nunca encuentra refugio. Este agotamiento perpetúa la sensación de que la persecución no tiene fin, atrapando tanto al protagonista como al lector en su ritmo sofocante.

La tierra, en este poemario, es un símbolo recurrente del rencor. Los "surcos" que dan título a la obra no solo representan las heridas del alma, sino también los caminos de huida que el protagonista es forzado a trazar. En lugar de nutrir, la tierra se convierte en un reflejo del odio y el resentimiento acumulados, convirtiéndose en un símbolo poderoso del dolor interior.

Surcos no busca la reconciliación ni la redención, sino que ahonda en las profundidades del resentimiento generado por la persecución. La poesía es cruda y honesta, desprovista de adornos innecesarios, como si el lector recorriera los mismos caminos polvorientos que el autor describe. Cada poema deja una huella, como un surco, en quien lo lee, profundizando el impacto emocional de la obra.
