He yelled and repeatedly moaned, "Kill me! Kill me! Kill me!"
When you have exhausted every tear and shrieking cry that you can muster and are reduced to the low whimper of begging mercy, mortals will do anything to end some of the pain. Some pain manifested as physical trauma, while other pain presented as mental suffering. The hurt spreads throughout the ages, slowly eating one's humanity, one betrayal at a time. Like Satan himself took a knife called malice, sat on the front porch of hell and whittled away at your soul. Slowly, whistling and cutting away, Satan did not make something pretty but made the foul and wretched waste of woman and man. Gutted skeletons remained, bereft of any uncorrupted flesh or feelings of faith, light and hope. Sometimes, it's a quick job. It's clean and swift. One point of a bony finger and one slice of a scythe. Sometimes, the reaper shows up with a larger, more maintained Afro. No Grim Reaper, it's a white leather trench coat and cheetah print stilettos
