Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich VWL - Arbeitsmarktökonomik, Note: 1,3, Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen einer Untersuchung des Zusammenwirkens struktureller Wandel in Bezug auf den Arbeitsmarkt, fokussiert sich diese dokumentaranalytische Arbeit auf die Untersuchung von Einflussfaktoren divergierender, regionaler Beschäftigungsentwicklungen. In klassischen Arbeitsmarktmodellen wie von Layard, Nickell und Jackman (1991) werden Differenzen im Beschäftigungsniveau vor allem über die Existenz institutioneller Unterschiede erklärt. Diese klassischen Ansätze sind dementsprechend vorrangig dazu in der Lage, nationale Differenzen der Beschäftigung herzuleiten, hingegen regionale Unterschiede innerhalb einer Nation, aufgrund zumeist sehr ähnlicher institutioneller Rahmenbedingungen, von diesen Modellen wenig plausibel erfasst werden. Nach Südekum treten regionale Ungleichheiten im Beschäftigungsniveau jedoch oftmals in gleicher Höhe auf, wie auf nationaler Ebene. In jüngerer Zeit entstanden neue Theorien, zur Erklärung divergierender, regionaler Entwicklungsprozesse, deren zentrales Hauptaugenmerk jedoch in der Analyse von regionalen Produktivitätsunterschieden liegt. Hervorzuheben ist der Bereich der neuen ökonomischen Geographie, der sich mit den Auswirkungen von Agglomerations-, Konzentrations-, und Spezialisierungseffekten auf regionale und nationale Ökonomien beschäftigt und dessen Ursprung auf die Arbeit von Krugman (1991) zurückgeführt wird. Bereits Marshall (1890) beschrieb die Vorteile der Entstehung von Ballungsräumen hinsichtlich Unternehmen gleicher oder verwandter Wirtschaftssektoren aufgrund, über Wissenstransfers, zu erzielender Spezialisierungseffekte. Die Alternativhypothese über sogenannte Agglomerationseffekte begründete Jacobs (1969) mittels ihrer Marshall widersprechenden Theorie, dass Innovations- und Produktivitätssteigerungen vor allem der Adoption von Wissen nicht verwandter Wirtschaftssektor
