About the Author: Author has lived in San Juan, the United Sates, and Cuba. Parents lived in Cuba from 1945 to 1960, and owned a concrete pipe business in Havana. I left Cuba in 1960 and returned to Cuba 1999/2000. I witnessed and understood the great impact of the Revolution in Cuba during the past 40 years. I traveled extensively in Cuba and spoke to post Revolution generations of Cubans living in Havana 40 years after the Revolution to understand their thoughts and experiences about living in the post Revolution Cuba. My trip to Cuba was important to understand Cuba beyond the beautiful beaches, the mojitos and the music. This book was in the works for over 10 years. This book is a collection of short stories about the Cuban Revolution. These long lost stories were gathered as a radio talk show participant during a period of 10 years at the famous "Nos Vemos en Cuba" radio talk show hosted by Wifredo Blanco Pi at WAPA RADIO 680am in San Juan. During these 10 years, I interviewed many well known Cuban activist who had participated in the Cuban Revolution during the days of Fulgencio Batista. Other guest speakers interviewed included the daughter of Fidel Castro. The topic of Cuba has always been a fascinating subject. As an author and seasoned traveler, I have experienced the effects that religion has had upon Cuba. Religion has played an important role in holding Cuba together the past 50 years. It permeates Cuban history, politics, the Revolution and the future of Cuba. The book explores this theme and other throughout the book. This will give the traveler a different perspective about Cuba and a better understanding of this fascinating island.
