With the twists of fate unknown to even the greatest of seers, the Spirit Master and comrades will not only have to battle creatures, dangers, and trials beyond their wildest dreams, but their own inner demons as well. Adventuring in an unknown and beautiful land filled with various sources of magic, they will take their first steps towards saving not only the worlds they know but worlds they have only just discovered, all the while finding love and forging the deepest of friendships. The stories and books they have read and dreamed about while staring into the stars cannot come close to their actual experience once they've begun their journey. Time will halt, as it does when its passing no longer has meaning, and strengths far beyond those of the physical sense will manifest in all who undertake this prophetic quest.
The Spirit Master, the being holding the greatest magic in this universe, is an eternal entity. His duty is to protect the worlds from the darkest of evils while everyone else lives peaceful lives. He is unfortunately exhausted with being alive. He thinks that he has done a spectacular job of sealing evil away and voluntarily ascends into the afterlife to be with the ones he loves after hiding away three of his most valuable artifacts in the mortal world that will only work for the next one born of his power. Chaos ensues after the Spirit Master departs, as the evils once sealed away are now allowed to run free.
Whenever the Spirit Master passes on, a new being with that powerful magic is born on that same day. No one knows which baby it is though. Wars are fought, and a darkness comes upon the lands until the child comes of age, if they survive that long.This time, an organization hides a few of the potential candidates away on a different planet to grow up safely. The catch is, in order to not to be found by nefarious actors, they are hidden on a planet with no magic. They grow up trained in academics and knives, but unknowing that any types of magic exist. When they get to be around 19/20 years old, the darkness finds them, and they are thrown back into the magical world.
The adventure starts here... learning that magic exists, coming to terms with the fact that they are the one with the greatest magic, a quest to find the artifacts, making new friends who hold different magics (there are multiple magic systems throughout the book series), and learning to overcome their smaller differences in order to come together and defeat the true evil. All the while, the old Spirit Master looks on from the afterlife regretting his decision to leave, attempting to help in the limited ways that he can.
