Länder - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: zwei (gut), Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (Institut für mittelalterliche Geschichte), Veranstaltung: HS Politische und soziale Ideen des späten dreizehnten und des vierzehnten Jahrhunderts, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der vorliegende Traktat über die Soziallehre Dante Alighieris (1265-1321); des Dichters der weltberühmten "Göttlichen Komödie" umfasst seine frühen Abhandlungen "Vita Nuova" und "Convivio" sowie sein philosophisch-politisches Spätwerk "De Monarchia". In seinem poetisch-autobiographischen Jugendwerk "Vita Nuova" verarbeitet Dante den frühen Tod seiner geliebten Beatrice dei Bardi. Diese um 1293 entstandene Gedichtsammlung stellt den ersten literarischen Versuch des Dichters nach einer leidvollen Erfahrung dar; sie ist eine mystische Liebesvision, die einen psychologischen Erkenntnisprozess sowie die Darstellung einer inneren Entwicklung umfasst, die es seit der Zeit des heiligen Augustinus nicht mehr gegeben hatte. Um die tote Geliebte später noch besser preisen zu können, beschäftigt Dante sich danach verstärkt mit dem Studium der Philosophie. Dies führt ihn um 1306 dazu, sein erstes universal gültiges sozialphilosophisches Werk; "Il Convivio"; das "Gastmahl"; zu verfassen. Der Autor verherrlicht darin den Trost der Philosophie für den Menschen; er kommentiert Aristoteles und untersucht die Hauptteile der Philosophie; er schildert die Wirkung der Weisheit auf die Seele des Philosophen und definiert die Beziehungen zwischen der Philosophie und den beiden anderen damals determinierenden Mächten des menschlichen Lebens: der Theologie und dem Reich. Indem er dabei die wichtige These aufstellt, dass die Philosophie keine "Hilfswissenschaft" der Theologie ist, widerlegt er den großen Scholastiker Thomas v. Aquin. In der in seinen letzten Lebensjahren verfassten Schrift "De Monarchia" stellt Dante die grundlegenden Theorie
