About the Author: Hoagy B. Carmichael is a world-renowned expert on fishing tackle with forty years of fly fishing experience. His rod-making shop was recently installed on permanent display at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center in Livingston Manor, New York. Carmichael of seven books on fishing including the classic The Grand Cascapedia River: A History. He also co-wrote A Master's Guide to Building a Bamboo Fly Rod with his mentor and friend Everett Garrison. He lives in North Salem, New York.
