In the magical realm of Elysium, where ancient temples and majestic spires rise over cobblestone streets, a tale of love, power, and destiny unfolds. Yet, rumors soon spread like wildfire: Dorian has been lured back into the Wildwood by a mysterious woman of the forest and plans to remain with her. Aurora's world shatters. Refusing to surrender to fate, she ventures back into the wilderness, finding Dorian on the brink of a union with the wild woman. Together, they flee back to Elysium, narrowly escaping the woman's wrath.
Upon their return, Dorian faces new challenges; he is ordered to marry another woman while Aurora, named High Priestess, is forbidden to wed. Defiant, they craft a daring plan, marrying in secret with the blessing of King Alaric. After Dorian's ascension to the throne- tragedy strikes. Aurora, newly crowned queen and pregnant, loses their child, and a dark change begins to take hold of her.
