Adriano, Chicago's new mafia boss, just fresh in from Italy, decides that the person he feels is responsible for his predecessor's demise should be eliminated. He hire's the top assassin in Italy to come to the US to do the job.
Alex, the now famous Cincinnati detective is focused on making an Art Exhibit and Fundraiser being held at the Cincinnati River Front a success. Her friends are all coming to participate in the event. She is unaware that she has been targeted to be eliminated.
She gets pushed into the art exhibition tent by her partner to keep her from getting shot and she realizes that once again she is being targeted.
Who is targeting her is at first a mystery. Using her contacts she zeroes in on who is targeting her.
She decides a visit to the Windy City to confront the person she believes is responsible is the necessary action to take.
Adriano assigns two hit men to kill everyone in the home of Alex's parents.
The two hit men are killed as they attempt to enter the Evercrest home.
Alex decides to take action.
She enrolls the DEA to arrest Adriano.
Adriano is charged with money laundering and with the attempted killing of a law enforcement officer.
He is sent to prison. Alex and her team are comfortably at home and ready for the next case.
