Das Buch ist auch für diejenigen interessant, die sich mit realistischen Schwertkampf sowohl in einer Auseinandersetzungals auch bei einer Vorführung beschäftigen. Die vorgestellten Konzepte und Prinzipien sind überall gültig.
About the Author: John Waller war mehr als dreißig Jahre Kampfkoordinator und Berater für historische Fragen an Bühnen und fürs Fernsehen. Neunzehn Jahre lang lehrte er den Bühnenkampf an Schauspielschulen wie der "London Academy of Music and Drama" und der "Guildhall School for Music and Drama". Seine Arbeiten mit Rüstungen und Waffen brachten ihn schließlich zur Mary Rose und den Bogenfunden, die dort gemacht wurden. Als Leiter der Abteilung für Interpretation der "Royal Armouries" in Leeds war er an vielen spezialisierten Filmprojekten beteiligt. Er ist ein Mitglied der "British Academy of Dramatic Combat" sowie im "Equity Fight Director's Register" und gründete im Jahre 1999 die "European Historical Combat Guild". An zahlreichen Bühnenaufführungen, Filmen und Fernsehproduktionen war er beteiligt, so u. a. in Martin Guerre, Elizabeth I., Dr Who, Pride and Prejudice und Arms In Action.
