You will not be able to put this book down because you will be too curious about what comes next! Perhaps the best single word to describe this opus is "memorable!"
283 pages, English only
Suggested for ages 16 and up (due to adult subject material, but no directly censorable language)
The book is organized into 9 chapters and an Addendum, as follows:
In Chapter 1, Ken fantasizes about being rich. Some of the things he would do are serious, some are clever, and some are surprisingly mundane.
Chapter 2, Simple Financial Tips, lists and explains basic advice intended for EVERYONE.
Chapter 3: Random Quotations includes a fascinating collection of thought-provoking, inspiring, curious, and funny quotations.
Chapter 4: Social Musings catalogs a huge array of Ken's suggestions for better government and human society overall. Most of the observations are serious comments about things like schools, roads, healthcare, and immigration.
Chapter 5: Random Bumper Stickers lists dozens of sayings from real bumper stickers. Most of these are humorous, and this chapter is guaranteed to make you smile!
Chapter 6: Economic Musings waxes judgmentally over a broad range of macroeconomic, business, and tax topics.
Chapter 7: Random Ideas is definitely among the book's best chapters. Dozens of ideas--some completely serious, some rather off-the-wall, and some that are a crazy mix--will have you scratching your head in wonder.
Chapter 8 lists things Ken would do if he ran his own country. Some of these are politically incorrect and will spark disagreement, but, as Ken says, "If you want to do things your way, then you become Supreme Leader, or at least write your own book."
Chapter 9: Truly Random Musings is probably the single-best reflection of this crazy book. It includes a wonderful mix of humor, wit, and serious editorial content, nearly all of which is pointed and poignant. You will certainly find things that warm your heart, but you will also likely find a few things that raise your bile, or maybe that just make you think "wow, that was boring!"
The book's Addendum contains the inspiration for Ken's writing, namely real-life Christmas Letters that he sent to friends and family over the past 10 years. These letters contain lots of crazy trivia, as well as sharp wit, cynical observations, and clever humor.
Overall, this book will capture your imagination in ways you never thought possible, and you will be glad you read it!
About the Author: Ken Wenzler was previously a wholesome, boring, middle-aged gentleman. Prior to publishing this book, he had not done much that could be considered exciting or controversial. His qualifications for writing include: a good education, cynical wit, decent communication ability, and a strong talent for drawing conclusions about more than four decades of observing the human condition. He is also passionately opinionated and, perhaps, a bit crazy. Ken is a life-long resident of the "Midwestern" U.S.A. and currently resides in the state of Wisconsin with his wife and two children.
