About the Author: Pavao Pavlicic, hrvatski knjizevnik, profesor i akademik, prevodilac i scenarista, rodjen je 16. avgusta 1946. godine u Vukovaru, gde je zavrsio osnovnu skolu i gimnaziju. Na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu diplomirao je komparativnu knjizevnost i italijanski jezik, a doktorirao je 1974. tezom iz podrucja metrike ("Sesta rima u hrvatskoj knjizevnosti"). Do odlaska u penziju bio je zaposlen na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu kao redovan profesor na Odseku za komparativnu knjizevnost. Redovni je clan Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umetnosti od 1997. godine.
