Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Allgemein, Note: 1,0, Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wenn man sich heute mit "modernen" jungen Frauen und Männern unterhält oder ihr Verhalten beobachtet, wird schnell klar, dass Geschlechtsstereotypen und Rollenzuschreibungen immer noch ein Teil des Alltags sind. Egal ob in Sachen Berufswahl, Studienfächern und Arbeitsteilung im Familienleben - die Rollen sind nach wie vor relativ traditionell verteilt und werden selten hinterfragt oder angezweifelt. Auch wenn Frauen immer emanzipierter zu werden scheinen, allmählich in Männerdomänen vordringen, Karrieren anstreben und auch Machtpositionen erlangen, kommen sie spätestens beim Thema Familienplanung in Gewissenskonflikte. Im Gegensatz dazu scheinen die Männer nicht in "Frauendomänen" vordringen zu wollen, weil es offensichtlich keine Vorteile für sie bringen würde. Gleichberechtigung und die Annäherung der Geschlechter findet also nur formal und einseitig statt und ist hauptsächlich für die Frauen mit Mehraufwand verbunden. Diese Frauen und Männer von heute waren Mädchen und Jungen, die an Schulen mit koedukativem Unterricht einen großen Teil ihrer Kindheit und Jugend verbrachten. Ihre Geschlechtersozialisation fand nicht nur im Elternhaus, sondern an eben diesen Schulen statt. Man muss sich also fragen, ob die Koedukation das leistet, was man sich bei ihrer Einführung in den 60er Jahren von ihr versprach. Längst geht es nicht mehr nur um die Benachteiligung der Mädchen durch die koedukative Praxis. In den letzten Jahren wurde vermehrt für neue Konzepte plädiert die beide Geschlechter berücksichtigen und mehr Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten außerhalb traditioneller Rollenmuster bieten. Diese Arbeit zeigt auf, welche Probleme sich in der täglichen Arbeit von Pädagogen ergeben, welche Erklärungsansätze es für diese gibt und wie wir die Jungen und Mädchen von heute auf dem Weg zu selbstbewussten, sozialkompetenten Frauen und Männern
