Aus gutem Grund hat sie ihren einzigen Sohn Adamo schon als Kind verstecken lassen, um ihn und sich selbst vor ihren Feinden zu schützen. Ohne seine Mutter, aber dennoch behütet und geliebt ist Adamo aufgewachsen, hat sein Studium beinahe abgeschlossen und blickt in eine vielversprechende Zukunft. Wäre da nicht Baretta, die in Kürze ins Gefängnis wandern wird und nun dringend einen Nachfolger sucht. Sie zwingt Adamo kurzerhand, seine Zukunftspläne aufzugeben und in die Kreise der Mafia zurückzukehren. Baretta stellt jedoch schnell fest, dass bei dem ganzen Plan etwas gewaltig schief gelaufen ist. Als hätte sie nicht Sorgen genug, ist auch noch FBI-Agent O'Harrigan ihren Leuten dicht auf den Fersen.
About the Author: Als geistiger Vater, Gründer und Geschäftsführer ist Daniel Nagel der Mittelpunkt des Teams um Dead Girl Walking Press. Ihm hat der Verein zur Förderung von Jugendkultur durch kreatives Schreiben nicht nur seine Grundsätze, sondern auch seine gesamte Struktur zu verdanken. Nach seinem Dienst als Zeitsoldat nahm er sein derzeitiges Marketingstudium an der VWA Göttingen auf. Zusammen mit seiner Erfahrungen als freier Unternehmensberater ist er somit außerdem der Experte für alle wirtschaftlichen Fragen. Daneben ist Daniel Nagel Thrillerautor und Künstler. Seine erste Veröffentlichung ist die "Kriegsträumer" Trilogie.
