Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 1,5, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Seminar für Wissenschaftliche Politik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wachsende soziale Ungleichheit, Kinderarmut, Exklusion und Stigmatisierung großer Bevölkerungsteile ("neue Unterschicht", "abgehängtes Prekariat"), sowie die Vereinseitigung von Mentalitäten ("Ellenbogengesellschaft", "Konsumzwang") - diese und weitere ähnlich gelagerte Phänomene werden oftmals als Folgen einer "neoliberalen" Politik kritisiert. In der hier vorliegenden Magister- und Staatsexamensarbeit geht es darum herauszuarbeiten, wie es möglich ist, dass eine solche Politik ungeachtet mehrfacher Regierungswechsel über Jahre hinweg erfolgreich war und weiterhin ist: Welche Macht vermag dieses? Offensichtlich ist es - unter den Bedingungen unserer liberalen Demokratie - nicht ausreichend mit dem Finger auf die politischen, wirtschaftlichen und moralischen Eliten zu zeigen, weil diese sich (vermeintlich oder tatsächlich) nur an ihren Eigeninteressen orientieren. Die Frage fällt vielmehr auf uns alle zurück: In welcher Weise formt eine solche Politik uns, und in welcher Weise formen wir diese Politik, aber auch unsere Mitmenschen und uns selbst? Eine solche umfassendere Perspektive, die zugleich die Makro- und die "Mikrostrukturen der Macht" im Auge hat, bietet der theoretische Ansatz von Michel Foucault und von verschiedenen Vertretern der "Gouvernementalitätsstudien", die Foucaults Ansatz weiterentwickeln. Aus dieser Perspektive formuliert der Autor Antworten auf die Frage nach den Gründen für die andauernde Dominanz dieser neoliberalen Politik - und mithin: Antworten auf die Frage nach ihrer Funktionsweise. Dies nimmt den größten Teil der vorliegenden Arbeit ein (Kapitel C und E). Anschließend (Kapitel F) geht es darum, das in letzter Zeit häufig diskutierte Konzept eines Bedingungslosen Grundeinkommens (BGE) vor diesem Hintergrund zu beleuchten: Könnt
