Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2023 im Fachbereich Theologie - Biblische Theologie, Note: sehr gut, Veranstaltung: Methoden der Exegese des Alten Testaments, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit wird die bekannte Erzählung von "Mose und der brennende Dornbusch" (Exodus 3, 1-15) einer eingehenden Untersuchung unterzogen (Übersetzungsvergleich, Gattungskritik, Motiv- und Traditionskritik, Literaturkritik, Auslegungsgeschichte, Hermeneutik und Theologie). Im Volk Israel offenbart sich Gott mit einem Feuer, das nicht verbrennt. Das Feuer steht mit dieser paradoxen Eigenschaft für Zeitlosigkeit sowie für eine nicht enden wollende Leidenschaft für eben dieses Volk. Das Paradox des Dornbusches setzt sich in der Form fort, in der sich Gott zeigt: Er offenbart seinen "Namen", der keiner ist oder die Verweigerung eines Namens gleichkommt und formuliert damit doch eine unbedingte Zusage des Da- und Mit-Seins. Das "Ich werde da sein, als der ich da sein werde" ist mithin keine ontologische Definition, sondern eine spezifische Beziehungsaussage. Die Formulierung ist so gehalten, dass Gott um der Zukunft willen in seiner Offenbarung auf den Menschen bezogen, aber zugleich dessen Verfügung entzogen bleibt. Um die Beziehung zu seinem Volk eingehen zu können, wählt Gott Mose als seinen Propheten aus, der in seinem Auftrag und an seiner Stelle das Volk aus der Knechtschaft Ägyptens führen soll. Davon ausgehend wird gezeigt, dass die Dornbusch-Perikope durchaus einem "Monotheismus der Treue", aber nicht einem gewaltsamen und intoleranten "Monotheismus der Wahrheit" (Assmann) folgt. Die "Intoleranz" ist nicht per se gegen die polytheistisch "anderen" gerichtet, sondern vornehmlich gegen Unrecht, Unterdrückung und Sünde sowie auch gegen für menschliche Herrschaft einsetzbare Götter und Götzen. Treue kann es in diesem Sinne nicht ohne die "Wahrheit" geben, für die der Eine transzendente Gott in seiner Unverfügbarkeit steht.
