About the Book

The present is happy. The past is angry. Put them together and the future is jeopardized. Nycole Spencer secretly still craves to know the missing pieces of her childhood. The dysfunction in her childhood has followed her into her adult years and she needs answers. Just as things are looking positive in her life she starts to think that the past should probably not weave its' way into her present or future anymore. Just as she accepts the fact that she's ready to bury her checkered past, she grows restless. Unfortunately, the things she wants to leave behind, keeps invading her thoughts and dreams. Her circle of family and friends are solid, but outside forces and people are trying to penetrate and puncture her protective bubble. The last thing Nycole had wanted to encounter was any type of drama. She had already went through a whirlwind of life's lessons and emotional turmoil the previous years. Who would have predicted what could have happened in Nycole's life? She managed to get rid of an abusive ex who tried his hardest to get her back. Not to mention, surviving a kidnapping plot that could have killed her. Plus she got Mr. Right, Blake Ellis to stay by her side in the midst of all the craziness. Her mental state had been a roller coaster ride to say the least. Nycole tries to stay grounded with the advice of her grandmother and closest friend. Still, she has some things to work out but this time, she won't stand to allow her past demons to masquerade in her life or those she loves. cswadlington.com
