About the Book

Come on board! Join Paul Barrington aboard the SS CHUSAN on it's inaugural world cruise to exotic Polynesia and the Far East. It also happens to be the first voyage for our handsome virile hero who had just completed service in the R.A.F. when he received the invitation to join the newest cruise ship due to set sail from London immediately. His dream had come true! With equal parts lust and wanderlust and seeing himself as a latter day Marco Polo armed not with a sword perhaps but creative energy he embarks on an odyssey to exotic ports around the world. His adventures included assisting in the fate of a misguided stowaway prostitute, a close shave with one of the Kings Coldstream Guards, a bloody struggle with a 14' shark and a disastrous tidal wave. Fearful moments when face to face with an enraged armed Maharaja's aide and a scary kidnapping attempt in North Africa. Then, of course, were the many lonely widows aboard who were oh, so willing. Several adventures happened ashore included an encounter with Maori natives and some awkward moments in a Japanese bath house when it wasn't just Paul's temperature that was rising. Paul eventually breaks the cardinal rule and falls for beautiful fellow crew member, Joanna Carroll, which leads to severe complications as they conduct a torrid clandestine affair. About the Author: Kenneth Pearce FRSH international lecturer and consultant for several major airlines, L'Oréal and Wella then developing franchises in U.S.A. Designed for Universal Studios and MGM, pioneered video education for schools and colleges in U.S.A., Canada and the Far East. Following a stint in the RAF he satisfied his yearning to travel the oceans of the world aboard a variety of ships. Including a troopship during a military situation in East Africa and then aboard a Banana Boat plying the West Indies where he was the guest of his swashbuckling idol Errol Flynn in Jamaica. Kenneth's creativity for Air France earned him an invitation to join the US and French dignitaries at the pre-flight festivities in Washington DC before taking his coveted seat aboard the first ever Supersonic Concorde passenger flight to Paris. He was quoted upon arrival in Paris, "Hurtling through the upper atmosphere faster than a bullet while gazing down at our beautiful planet was a thrill of a lifetime!"
