Not so fast once again. The mafia thinks they're running the show. Mafia bosses are making deals with CIA officers to assassinate Fidel Castro. When JFK's administration initiates a crusade to put those mafia bosses in prison, getting rid of Kennedy becomes their top priority.
Sill not so fast. FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover thinks he's running the show. Hoover may be a living legend but he knows JFK is about to force him into retirement. The thought of not running the FBI is intolerable to Hoover.
Not just yet. The Secret Service kind of is running the show. They're the only agency in government that has authority over the president. More than few Secret Service agents consider JFK's policies a threat to national security.
However, JFK's biggest threat to world peace may come from his own vice president, Lyndon Johnson, who knows he's not running anything, but would like to be. Johnson's trail of corrupt schemes are becoming exposed. He has to act fast or he'll end up out of office and probably in prison.
