About the Book

London in the middle of the eighteenth century - a hub of trade and industry - meeting point for ships, traders and mariners of all nations and the main entry point to the lucrative import and export markets of Britain. Responding to an urgent summons from Marchant, Hyde and Turner travel post-haste to the capital - but what was Marchant's summons for? Could smugglers be using the great port as a place to further their nefarious ends and if they were, would Marchant's men be able to expose it and put an end to it all? Or is there something more sinister afoot, that will leave Hyde and Turner searching for an unknown, unseen adversary in a challenge that threatens to drive a wedge between them, Marchant and the others in his company? And if there is, how will they survive it and the challenge it puts in front of them? The Leonardo Portfolio is the fourth book in the Simon Hyde series and sequel to The Pressed Men.
About the Author: Keith Mapp is an author of fictional thrillers. His seven published novels cover three genres - historical, contemporary and black satirical comedy. His Simon Hyde series of historical thrillers, set in the middle of the eighteenth century in southern England, includes four books - "After The Storm", "The Storm Chaser", "The Pressed Men" and "The Leonardo Portfolio". These follow the fortunes and adventures of Simon Hyde, son of a village blacksmith, as he initially sets out to find out how and why his brother Tom died - with unexpected and murderous consequences. "To Dream, Perchance To Die" is a contemporary thriller with a twist, following the dual lives of one man - one in his dreams and one in reality - over a seventeen-day period during which those two lives collide head-on with one another. "Going Off The Rails - the madness of John Biddle" and "Going Round Again - John Biddle backtracks" are two black satirical comedies dealing with the trials and tribulations produced by working for a large company and commuting to that work every day by train. The books' downtrodden hero, John Biddle, inadvertently finds out the reason why the trains run late so often, then sets out to use that knowledge to change his life for ever.....
