About the Author: Jasmine and Kay met in fourth grade, but they weren't best friends! Too close to be neutral, but too awkward to be friends. After a year Jasmine transferred, and despite living in the same area, the two never saw each other again until high school. On the first day of school, in a new school of only forty students, Kay and Jasmine fatefully re-met, but the atmosphere be-tween them hadn't changed! While both were sitting with a third acquaintance, trying to secure their first high school friend, the decisive instant came. It was the answer to Jasmine's "Do you like Avatar the Last Air-bender?" while the acquaintance shook her head, Kay's hand shot up "I DO!" And that was that. By their lunch break on the first day of high school, Jasmine and Kay became inseparable, wandering off to discuss their shared interest. Jasmine started writing Foretold in her freshman year, based off her seventh grade short story. Inspired by the idea of writing, Kay began her own novel, but when the two compared their stories, there were too many similarities! While Kay worried people would say she was copying, Jasmine saw things differently, "What if they're the same because they're part of the same story? What if my bad guy is your dictator? What if my Fortissimo is your dying land?" And from there the stories began to converge. The stories blossomed in many steps, the way the characters met and interacted was reworked a few times as we struggled to get our old setups out of the way and see the story for what it is, but what is before you now is not just a novel or three, but the libraries of the Eternal Realms.
