About the Book

Beide Großeltern sind seit Generationen alteingesessene Schwarzwälder. Der Autor, Ende 1944 im damals deutsch verwalteten Elsass geboren, war als Kleinkind ein Türöffner für Mutter und Verwandtschaft, die nur so in die neutrale Schweiz einreisen durften, um nach der Internierung von dort in die ursprüngliche Heimat der Großeltern ins Wiesental und damit in Sicherheit zu kommen. Dass wegen des Geburtsortes im Elsass später Probleme bei der Staatsbürgerschaft entstehen würde, war weder abzusehen noch erwartet. Die bewegte Kindheit wurde von der Notwendigkeit geprägt, schon in jungen Jahren mitverdienen zu müssen, eigenes Geld für die notwendige Kleidung oder den Schulbedarf zu haben, sowie sich kleine Freuden leisten zu können, ohne die Eltern damit zu belasten. Kaum als Jugendlicher selbständig rief die Bundeswehr zum Wehrdienst bei der Marine. Nach einem unglaublich brutalen militärischen Drill folgte die Ausbildung zum Sanitäter. Nach den bestandenen Prüfungen wurde das Trossschiff "Dithmarschen" neues Tätigkeitsgebiet. Nun kam die spannendste Zeit auf See. Der Schwarzwälder war ein Seemann geworden und durfte Gebiete und Häfen im Ausland sehen, die für den Normalbürger damals noch unerreichbare Ziele waren.
About the Author: Der Autor Jahrgang 1944, ist Kaufmann mit abgeschlossenem betriebswirtschaftlichem Studium. Bis zum Ruhestand war er als Handelsvertreter aktiv. Um dem Tag Sinn und Struktur zu geben, begann er Bücher zur eigenen Biografie oder Fiktionen zu unterschiedlichen Themen - teils mit realem Hintergrund - zu schreiben. Es ist ein Zeitvertreib und spannend, wie sich von einer Idee, der Bogen zwischen fiktiver Geschichte hin zur schlüssigen Story entwickelt. Wichtig ist es dem Autor, dem Leser ohne große Schnörkel und literatursprachlichen Raffinessen, spannende Unterhaltung zu bieten, oft gestützt mit seiner subjektiven Meinung. Er will durch seine Erzählungen zudem Hintergrundwissen vermitteln, Hinweise auf landschaftliche oder historische und geschichtliche Besonderheiten geben und mit informativ bildhafter Darstellung an reale Plätze führen, wo sich die dargestellte Handlung abgespielt hat. Wenn es den Leser anregt sich selbst vom Handlungsort, den Schauplätzen, ein Bild zu machen, ist das Ziel erreicht.
