Anyone who has read most of the scholarly books, journals, and papers worldwide on leadership has heard there is no universally accepted definition of leadership. There are leadership quotes, guides, training, and billions of records from 720 A.D. to today. There are many forms of leadership, from self, team, or many groups at once, performed by individuals, organizations, teams, companies, and countries. It can be recognized thousands of years after it is performed and forgotten within seconds after being recognized. Something as dynamic as the concept of leadership must have a foundational definition that works within all use cases and scenarios.
Each human connects with others around them, and most times, there is no recognition of this connection or interaction as it may be so inconsequential at that time not even to be recognized. The average person recognizes when they interact with others. These interactions with others can be generally identified as a dyadic relationship. It explains that a dyadic relationship refers to the interaction between two entities, in this case, people. The text explores the concept of dyadic relationships in the context of human interactions and its relevance to leadership. It emphasizes that individuals often interact with others without fully recognizing or acknowledging the significance of those connections. This acknowledges that forming relationships and engaging with others is inherent to human nature. It asserts that leadership necessitates a dyadic relationship with others, and how these interactions are established and maintained can play a role in determining one's growth within a group. Additionally, it suggests that leadership predominantly occurs through the influence exerted between and within groups.
