"A Kid Can Start a Business" is a children's book about business complete with tabs and everything a person would need to teach a child about business, networking, corporate responsibility and more. The full title consist of 544 words and 2944 characters to inspire reading dreaming and goal setting. This book is geared toward children, but good for everyone who wants to know about business. I have seen many television stories about children owning lemonade stands and other businesses, but these skills were never taught in the schools I attended. This book is designed to guide children toward being entrepreneurs. The earlier our children begin planning for financial success, the better. Someone's child is getting ready for the future, make sure your child is too.
About the Author: Shannah Trailor was born in 1983 in Chicago and has been a published author for several years in addition to receiving several awards from organizations like the NAACP for art. Her current professional efforts include the creation of a book series geared toward INSPIRING people of all ages to improve their lives, and have a good time doing it. Shannah's first book "It Ain't So" was released April 26, 2005. The work was divided into three sections with love. The first section is Advice, a guide through different situations like addiction, creating self inspiration, appreciating others, avoiding poverty and self destruction, why you are not average, what light skin is, gaining control, child support, choosing a supportive mate and more. The next section contains a Short Story designed to grab your attention as well as your heart. You will float through the tragic time of a woman and her town, which will give you a new way to look at tragedies of your own. Finally there is a Poetry Corner in which you can examine and feel some of her thoughts about herself, men, love, social change, college, life, religion, our ancestors and more. This book was designed to make you think and feel good. It is designed to inspire you to live your dreams because you are not average, tragedies occur, but we live through beautiful poetry which has highs and lows all to make each of us better and more special than we would be without the situations that make us who we are. When we spill milk we don't sit on the floor and cry about it until someone comes hours, days, or years later to ask us what's wrong, we wipe it up. However many of us spill milk in our lives, or make a mistake and cry about it for years instead of wiping it up or fixing it. Her second release is the children's book "A Kid Can Start A Business" because after school specials show children owning lemonade stands, but Shannah was not taught these skills in school and felt assisting parents and teachers in presenting this topic was a worthy cause. When a child owns a lemonade stand they are an entrepreneur, and if they have a friend or cousin working with them they are also an employer. We must teach our children to own businesses and improve the world around them, with these lessons unemployment and poverty can't touch them or their communities.
