About the Author: Nohemí Molano Lewis grew up in a small town in Colombia, South America; at seven she began to learn English, later attended college, specialized in Literature; started writing poetry under the tutelage of famous writer and Poet Laureate Luz Stella. Worked many jobs to get through college, earned her degrees in Colombia, immediately after hired as Special Assistant to the President of the State Penal Court, Dr. Caycedo. Later, was Special Assistant to the President of Sheering Corp, a North-American, pharmaceutical Company. Nohemí performed with the "Alberto Castilla Conservatory of Music" in Colombia, USA, and with the Vienna Boys Choir in Europe. Immigrated to USA in 1963 after husband abandoned family, she raised three children without help. Sons graduated from UCLA, and daughter from California State University, Sacramento. The seven grandchildren advanced their education, have college degrees and two have their own businesses; others are finishing their academic studies. Nohemí has two great grandchildren. In USA Nohemi was a Dean and Professor at private colleges, Talk Show Host in Costa Rica, Television Anchor and Talk Show Host at Univision, TV Producer, Talk Show Host, and Translator for the State of California. Columnist for various bilingual newspapers and magazines, Anchor at various Radio and TV stations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose, and Costa Rica. Governors of California and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) praised her for Assisting victims at Earthquakes and other tragedies in the Bay Area and Northern California. Honored by Sacramento State University for her books of poetry in Spanish e.g. "Semblanzas y Recuerdos" used in university literature classes internationally.
