About the Book

El Jnana Yoga es el yoga del conocimiento, no en el sentido intelectual, sino el conocimiento de Brahmán y el atman y la realización de su unidad. Donde el devoto de Dios sigue los impulsos del corazón, el jnani utiliza los poderes de la mente para distinguir entre lo real y lo irreal, entre lo permanente y lo transitorio..

Los jnani, los seguidores la Vedanta advaita, o no dualista, también se pueden llamar monistas porque afirman la realidad única de Brahmán. Por supuesto, todos los seguidores de la Vedanta son monistas: todos afirman la única realidad de Brahmán. About the Author:

Luego de su primera visita al occidente, Swami Vivekananda retornó a la India, donde fundó la Orden Ramakrishna en 1898.

La vida y obra de Swami Vivekananda tienen la vastedad y profundidad que corresponde a un gigante espiritual de su talla. Él construyó su obra sobre la base de su total renunciación. Su mensaje está atravesado por una fuerza incontenible que ha levantado, y levanta, a miles del pozo del pequeño yo. Su pasión fue demostrar a todos su inherente grandeza, hacer de los hombres un sólido bastión de espiritualidad.

Vivekananda quería que cada uno reconociera su naturaleza divina y se erigiera como un faro en la costa, arrojando luz para guiar a otros a través de la oscuridad del océano del mundo.

Amaba a Dios en todas sus manifestaciones, pero especialmente en su pura expresión humana. Invocó como uno, sino el único, de los principios de la Orden, el del servicio a Dios en el hombre, destacando que servicio y adoración son uno. Quería que cada uno se volviera consciente de su propia fuerza espiritual como la de otros y que manifestara esta conciencia en un incansable servicio a la humanidad toda.
