About the Book

French security officers race to capture terrorists before they initiate an ingenious plot to destroy the Eiffel Tower and disrupt an innovative Middle East peace conference. As the Middle East descends into violence and chaos, the Paris sessions become the region's last hope. The participants consider a Middle East Union designed to bring peace, democracy, and development to the region, thereby reducing the attraction of violent jihadists. A brilliant university professor and a U.S. Senator initiate the negotiations while a ruthless CEO attempts to advance the Senator into the White House for his own purposes. A pre-med student, seeking revenge for his lost love, schemes to undermine the CEO's corporate objectives.
About the Author: Alan L Moss is a unique and emerging voice in the thriller genre. His writing draws upon Ph. D. research capabilities and many years in Washington D.C. as a federal Chief Economist, Congressional Fellow in the U.S. Senate, and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Virginia's Northern Virginia Center. In 2002, he put his government career aside and moved to the Jersey Shore to pursue his writing. His novels spin sophisticated tales of conspiracy, love, sex, and subterfuge. After years of politics and bureaucracy, Alan has found the freedom of writing fiction an intoxicating and satisfying calling. Two distinguishing features of Alan's novels are involvement with significant national and international issues and remarkable settings. His new novel, Insidious Deception, deals with the market for rare earth minerals-substances required by the technologies of the future-and Middle East conflict and resolution during the Arab Spring. Locations include Jerash, Jordan; Hvar, Croatia; the Negev Dessert and Mossad Headquarters, Israel; Pescara, Italy; Washington, D.C.; New York City, NY; Palm Beach, FL; Mountain Pass, CA; Toulouse and Paris, France; Socotra, Yemen; Andorra la Vella, Andorra; and La Samanna, St. Maarten.
