Vorwort Innovationen im technologischen, organisatorischen aber auch sozialen Bereich bestimmen heute immer mehr unser Leben. Innovationen können die gesellscha- liche Entwicklung dabei sowohl positiv als auch negativ beeinflussen. Insbeson- re Organisationen außerhalb des Marktgeschehens sind dabei auf die Legitimation durch die Gesellschaft, d.h. ihre Reputation angewiesen, um dauerhaft den Erfolg von Innovationen und damit ihr Fortbestehen zu sichern. Dabei zeigt sich, dass klassische betriebswirtschaftliche Ansätze nicht ohne weiteres auf diesen Bereich übertragbar sind. Der vorliegende Band zur Tagung "Innovation durch Kommunikation - Kommunikation als Erfolgsfaktor für Organisationen" an der Technischen U- versität Kaiserslautern erörtert aus interdisziplinären Blickwinkeln die Frage, wie Non-Profit-Organisationen durch eine integrative Unternehmens- und Organi- tionskommunikation ihre Innovationsfähigkeit ausbauen und ihr Fortbestehen langfristig sichern können. Autorinnen und Autoren aus den Bereichen Wi- schaft, Recht, Verwaltung, Kultur und Bildung setzen sich mit dieser Fragest- lung auseinander und sensibilisieren für die Notwendigkeit interdisziplinärer Ansätze für ein zeitgemäßes Kultur- und Non-Profit-Management. An dieser Stelle möchten wir uns herzlich bei allen Autorinnen und Autoren für ihr engagiertes Mitwirken an dem vorliegenden Werk bedanken. Unser Dank gilt ebenfalls dem Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung für die För- rung der Tagung im Rahmen der Innovations- und Technikanalyse. Dabei d- ken wir Herrn Dr. Marc Bovenschulte und Frau Kelime Albrecht vom Projektt- ger VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH für die gute Zusammenarbeit. About the Author: Professor Dr. Thomas Heinze war geschäftsführender Direktor des Instituts für Kulturmanagement an der FernUniversität Hagen und ist jetzt Professore Ordinario an der Freien Universität Bozen.
Verena Lewinski-Reuter ist Juristin und Kulturmanagerin. Sie ist zurzeit als Fach- und Wissenschaftslektorin, Autorin und Dozentin tätig.
Kerstin Steimle ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Fernstudiengang "Management von Kultur- und Non-Profit-Organisationen" am Distance and International Studies Center (DISC) der Technischen Universität Kaiserslautern.
