About the Book

One woman's epic six month pilgrimage to heal every part of her begins with a leap of faith-out of the rainy Pacific Northwest and into the warmer waters of Hawaii. The power of the islands begin to wield her journey into something she didn't expect. Her old life burns to the ground in heartbreak, health issues, and betrayal from both those she loves as well as her own body. She is in the midst of Lyme disease, homeless and alone. Relying solely on her intuition, the enchanting lessons of the Aloha spirit lead Sahara to realize her journey must go deeper to face everything that lingers in her broken heart. Surrendering onto an unexpected and unknown path before her, she leaves the comforts of paradise and bravely ventures into the Nevada desert for intense treatment. Alone. She is continually tested, facing the Shaman's death, to transcend out of the ashes of her old life. Miracles and blessings begin to change every part of her in ways she never would have expected. Relying on the help of strangers, Sahara is rebirthed into divine surrender where grace leads her home to another magical island and a paradise found within her own self. Sahara Sun sweetly weaves this true heart's tale revealing extraordinary lessons discovered throughout her journey to heal her broken-opened heart. She may even inspire you to take the first step on your own healing journey. Heart Broke Open is dedicated to anyone seeking healing, change, and a way to free your heart with the openness to surrender into the mysteries of the unknown.
About the Author: Sahara Sun is a wounded healer-the Jungian archetype of a healer on a quest to heal themselves so they can help heal another. She was born able to see the energy of other people's souls, of their traumas, and intuitive visions while keeping this connection silently secret throughout her childhood. Born into medicine, Sahara knew she was to be a healer from her dreams and her own internal nudges by the age of ten. Since then, she has been on a mission to understand how these intuitive connections can help others heal. This has become her lifelong pursuit, exploring healing traditions around the world, experiencing shamanic rites of initiation, Native American spirituality, and making spiritual pilgrimages to Ecuador, Peru, and Hawaii. The combination of her rich lineage in medicine, honing her intuitive gifts, incorporating her alternative medicine background, and overcoming twenty-seven harrowing years with Lyme disease (her greatest teacher) has given Sahara special abilities to help others heal. Sahara holds a B.S. in biology, an M.S. in medicinal plant science, and is a nationally licensed East Asian medical practitioner of traditional five element acupuncture and Jungian psychology. For over twenty years, she has served as a shamanic spiritual healer, integrating many healing modalities along the way. Through her work as a medical intuitive, spiritual healer, and five elements acupuncturist, she has created a system of conscious healing, ushering people worldwide into the experience of thriving with a personal sovereignty to heal. Sahara is the owner of her healing practice, Shen Sanctuary, and lives on Maui, Hawaii, with her two wiener dogs. Surrounded by nature, away from the mainstream world, she enjoys living with the Aloha Spirit, sustainably honoring the earth, loving many, and letting it all unfold one day at a time. She has discovered that conscious healing is a language that bridges spirituality and science and uses her writings, teachings, and healing practice to awaken transformation in others. Heart Broke Open is Sahara's first self-published book, and carries with it the excitement of more books to come. Please visit Sahara online or through Facebook to learn more about how she is in service for the betterment of this earth.
