Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2023 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Politik, Majoritäten, Minoritäten, Note: 1,3, Universität Leipzig (Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Politische Soziologie der Gegenwart, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die These dieser Arbeit ist, dass das Bürgergeld nicht für eine Neujustierung steht, sondern bestehende Mechanismen der Subjektivierung weitergeführt werden. In dieser Hausarbeit sollen diese Mechanismen untersucht werden. Mit dem Analysewerkzeug aus den Governmentality Studies wird geprüft, inwieweit die gesetzlichen Änderungen des Bürgergelds auf das Verhältnis zwischen Bürger: in und Staat einwirken können. Die Governmentality Studies beschäftigen sich mit der Analyse und Kritik von Machtverhältnissen und Regierungstechniken. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird dieses Konzept genutzt, um zu untersuchen, wie das Bürgergeld als Instrument des Wohlfahrtsstaates die Subjektivierung der Bürger: innen beeinflusst. Als nächsten Schritt soll das Konzept des aktivierenden Sozialstaats erläutert und in die Forschungsdebatte verordnet werden. Daraufhin werden die konkreten Pläne für die Gesetzesänderung des Sozialgesetzbuches beschrieben und diskutiert. In der Diskussion sollen insbesondere die Maßnahmen zur Weiterbildung unter dem Aspekt der Fremd- und Selbstführung beleuchtet werden. Das Verhältnis des Sozialstaats zu seinen unterstützungsbedürftigen Bürger: innen soll durch das Bürgergeld von Grund auf neujustiert werden. Mit der Reform 2010 hat sich ein Wandel vom fürsorgenden zum aktivierenden Wohlfahrtsstaat vollzogen, indem zur Begrenzung der hohen Arbeitslosenzahlen Sanktionen stärker betont wurden. Beim Bürgergeldgesetz bekommt die Weiterbildung eine wichtige Rolle, indem unter anderem ein Weiterbildungsbonus ausbezahlt wird. Die Bürger: innen sollen an Weiterbildungsmaßnahmen teilnehmen, um ihre Vermittlungschancen zu erhöhen. Das soll die Selbstführung der Bürger: innen verstärken. Studien zeigen jedoch, dass finanzielle Anreize nicht unbedingt den Willen
