Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Allgemeine Didaktik, Erziehungsziele, Methoden, Note: 1,0, FernUniversität Hagen (Lehrgebiet Bildungstechnologie), Veranstaltung: Empirische Bildungsforschung/Methoden, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Durch die explosionsartige Verbreitung neuer Technologien Smartphones und Social Media sowie die damit verbundene Technisierung der Arbeits- und Lebenswelt setzte schon vor Jahren eine Mobilitäts- und Kommunikationsrevolution ein, die auch am Bildungswesen Spuren hinterlassen hat: Informationen sind in der heutigen Wissensgesellschaft immer und überall verfügbar. Vor allem für die Lehrkräfte ist dieser Wandel mit neuen Herausforderungen verbunden. Sie sind dabei "weniger als Informationsvermittler, sondern primär als Katalysator und Moderator von Lernprozessen" (Euler, Seufert & Wilbers, 2006, S. 9) zu verstehen. In zahlreichen Unternehmen und Hochschulen hat sich mediengestütztes Lernen bzw. E-Learning in der Aus- und Weiterbildung mittlerweile etabliert. An vielen deutschen Schulen herrscht dagegen immer noch "Kreidezeit" (vgl. Michel, 2011). So belegen etwa die Daten der PISA-Studie 2006, dass lediglich 31 % der teilnehmenden deutschen Schüler den regelmäßigen Einsatz elektronischer Medien an ihrer Schule bestätigen. Verglichen mit 25 anderen OECD-Ländern belegt die BRD damit in diesem Bereich den letzten Platz (vgl. Prenzel et al., 2007). Auch einige nationale Studien kommen in puncto Mediennutzung an Schulen zu einem ernüchternden Ergebnis. Laut der vom Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien e. V. (BITKOM) initiierten Umfrage "Schule 2.0" werden PC und Internet bei 43 % der befragten Schüler im Unterricht nicht oder seltener als einmal pro Woche eingesetzt (vgl. Michel, 2011). Obwohl Lehrkräfte an berufsbildenden Schulen von dieser Kritik in geringerem Maße betroffen sind als ihre Kollegen im allgemeinbildenden Bereich (vgl.
