I really enjoyed this book. Very futuristic and I would like to see some of the gadgets become reality. The characters were interesting, each having their own secrets, quirks and beliefs.

Synopsis of Earth and Beyond:
Earth had achieved a semi-utopia until aliens destroyed the peace that took decades for hacker revolutionaries to build. After a bizarre robot occupation leading to all-out war, humanity was left with a deadly alien pandemic. Their possible salvation lies in a team brought together to search for a solution beyond the stars.
The mysteries of genetics and microscopic entities, along with the wonders of the future surgical scene are at the heart of their quest, with the soul coming from the vivid characters who explore them.
As their journey into deep space begins they encounter obstacles and battles of wills as they strive to survive the harsh and not-so empty space on the way to their distant goal. Together, the hand-picked team deals with technical problems, illness, personal issues, and secret elements of Earth's warring bio-tech ideologies as they kick off their mission to save Earth.
About the Book:
Part one of this technological cornucopia, "The Evolution of Chiron," is an origin story that introduces a future vision of Earth, and grows the characters from tenacious teens to adventuring adults.
Part two, "Aliens and Ailments," sees Ambassador Karen O'Bien, a politically astute government star, head up a mission to solve a medical mystery caused by an alien invasion of Earth.
At her side is astronomer and military reservist Captain Walsh, a former war hero, as they launch into the medical mission in space with super-talent collected from around the world.
Vital to a challenging roster of crew and mission specialists, is a possibly unstable genius chief engineer Roed, inventor of the Quantum Displacement Drive.
A svelte, but secretive young lady, Sufra, runs the computers, shile an all-star freshly graduated surgeon, Dr. Atland, is pushed beyond Earthly skills. Security head, Woon, has all-too deadly martial arts skills, and a stubborn scientist, Dr. D'Amour, lands himself in trouble.
Watch for the sequel, "Ripped Genes," in 2021.
