Dreams of Camelot is the 2nd book in a series. This book tells of King Arthur building his kingdom after the initial book, "Comes the Dragon," described his grandfather's life and Arthur as a child and young man. Locked in a struggle with the powers of darkness as well as the invaders coming from every corner of his kingdom, Arthur struggles to find his place in the world, establish his kingdom, keep peace within his family and cling desperately to his faith. Guided by his mentor, Merlyn, and a pair of fairies who are able to discern the future, Arthur is driven to affect the coming Nexus. The fairies see the timelines converging later in Arthur's life where his actions can change the future for good, or failing, see it drift off into chaos and disaster for all of mankind. Dreams of Camelot is historical fiction. The imaginary characters are placed in meticulously researched historical settings with actual documented personas such as Emperor Marcian, Aspar the Alan, Pope Leo I, Attila the Hun and many more. Only where the historical record is blank or vague does the author take license to insert his on suppositions on what might have happened.
About the Author: Ted Snedeker dreamed of being an author from the time he met James Jones when Ted was eleven. Jones had written "From Here to Eternity, ' that had become a best-seller and was being made into a movie. Ted's father was building Jones's mansion and Jones became part of the Snedeker family. Ted became fascinated with Jones's life with the Hollywood elite drifting in and out, and money flowing in like an endless river. Ted decided right then he was going to be an author. Unfortunately, life happened. In that era, a young man either went voluntarily into the military or waited to be drafted. Unwilling to wait, Ted joined the Navy to get it out of the way. Shortly after leaving the service he found himself with a wife and family to support. A career came next. Ted worked all over the world building telephone switching systems for international customers. He retired from a business he had built for 35 years in 2014 and took up his dream that he had set aside almost fifty years ago. Ted had been working on "Return of the Dragon," for over twenty years, off and on and in spurts. While he polished on this manuscript he published two LEO books, "The Deputy," and "Taunt the Widowmaker." After releasing his latest book, "Betrayed, Deserted, Forgotten," which tells the story of his two uncles who fought in the Japanese invasion of the Philippines, Ted decided he was happy, finally, with the "Return of the Dragon," series. It is being released, one volume at a time in the late summer of 2018. Ted has two daughters and three grandsons. He lives on a family farm in South Central Illinois with his wife of fifty-four years, a chow puppy and four cats.
