About the Author: Ocean became the pioneer for Belgium and the Netherlands for communication and interaction with wild dolphins, with whom she has a deep, inner contact and an extraordinary relationship. Water is her element, and from childhood she dreamed of swimming with dolphins. On her spiritual journey, her heart's desire was to get to know great people, and this happened. Frequently she spent time in the company of enlightened yoga masters from all over the world. They were her guiding light to the dolphins. When she met moviemaker Armando Acosta, she was especially inspired to swim with dolphins, and then everything gained momentum when Indra Devi, the "First Lady of Yoga," crossed her path and initiated her to become a yoga teacher. One day, Mataji, who was in England in the house of David Gilmore (singer with Pink Floyd), called her. She invited her to come over, and while she was there a movie was shown about swimming with dolphins. Ten days later, Ocean was in the waters of the Bahamas, frolicking with dolphins! The very first time she swam with them she encountered a huge dolphin with black and white spots who initiated her. A famous medium, healer, and animal-interpreter, Neville Rown from New Zealand, told her that this highly evolved dolphin manifestation had come to activate her and bring her closer to her life's work and that she was to be an ambassador for dolphins. More and more she came under the dolphins' spell and surrendered to the great breath that they embody so well. She was asked to speak on TV and radio and she was interviewed by several well-known magazines. Her path with dolphins unfolded spontaneously. One year later, she returned to the Bahamas accompanied by a small group of people and it never stopped. She got to know Jacques Mayol, in those days the king of free diving. He used a yoga breathing technique before taking to the deep. Ocean was familiar with this technique, which was a confirmation that her yoga path had been a preparation for her relationship with dolphins. The dolphins took over the role of guiding her on her path and in the following years she became a bridge between dolphins and people. After her mission to the Bahamas, she felt called to one new place after another and participated in eco-travel. Her biggest concern is to protect the dolphins in their natural habitat.
