Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich BWL - Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte, Note: 1,3, Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Währungsreform 1923/24 ist eine der meist diskutierten und umfangreichsten Reformen des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts, die einige Erfolge und Neuerungen mit sich brachte, die man auch in heutigen Wirtschaftssystemen wiederfinden kann. In dieser Zeit wurde finanzpolitisch experimentiert und die Währungsreform wurde für viele Finanztheoretiker zu einer Möglichkeit ihre Vorstellungen und Ideen von einer Neugestaltung der Währung vorzustellen und in die allgemeine Diskussion einzubringen. Die Auseinandersetzungen im Parlament zu dieser Zeit waren von besonderer Härte und Bestimmtheit geprägt, da die Reform nicht bloß ein wirtschaftlich und sozial am Boden liegendes Deutschland aufrichten sollte, sondern auch das Vertrauen in die Politik und den Staat wiederherstellen musste. Eine Währung ohne Goldbasis sollte dafür übergangsweise eine große Rolle spielen und spiegelt wider, dass viele Ideen und Vorstellungen das Finanz- und Wirtschaftswesen zu reformieren, umgesetzt wurden. Bezogen auf diesen Fall spielt Karl Helfferich eine große Rolle, was das Grundgerüst der Reform und ihre allgemeine Ausrichtung sowie Konzept anbelangt. Zwar wichen seine ersten Formulierungen und dessen spätere Ausführungen in vielen Punkten von der späteren Umsetzung ab, aber er konnte durch seine Denkweise entscheidende Anstöße geben. In dem Buch "Geld und Banken" von Karl Helfferich von 1910 gibt es einige Kapitel und Abschnitte, die bereits fünfzehn Jahre bevor seine Ideen und Vorstellung von Finanz- und Wirtschaftssystemen in die Diskussion um die Gestaltung der Reform einfließen sollten, Aufschluss darüber geben, wie er sie sich in den Grundzügen vorstellte. Dieses Buch ist das älteste Werk, welches ich zu meiner Recherche zu Rate gezogen habe und schafft in Bezug auf die Person Karl Helfferich und seine Reformpläne eine gute Verst
