Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Spanische Sprache, Literatur, Landeskunde, Note: 1,7, Freie Universität Berlin, Veranstaltung: Hauptseminar: Pikaresker Roman, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Geschichte des Romans "Pantaleón y las visitadoras" wurde von dem Autor nicht erfunden. In dem Buch "Die Wirklichkeit eines Schriftstellers" beschreibt er seine Reise zum Amazonasgebiet 1958, während welcher er erfuhr, dass die Bewohner der kleinern Dörfer sich deswegen aufregten, dass ihre Frauen ständig von den Soldaten, die da stationiert waren, belästigt worden waren. Auf seiner zweiten Reise einige Jahre später, stellte sich heraus, dass die Bewohner wieder unzufrieden waren, diesmal aber der Grund dafür war ein Privileg, die vom Militär den Soldaten zugestanden war, und von den Bewohnern selbst nicht benutzt werden konnte - ein Truppenbetreuungsdienst der Prostituierten. So ist die Geschichte des Armeehauptmanns Pantaleón Pantoja entstanden, der versucht die absurde Idee seiner Vorgesetzten - einen Prostituiertendienst für den Soldaten in der Tat umzusetzen. Im Vergleich zu den früheren Romanen von Vargas Llosa wird die Geschichte nicht in einem ernsten Ton behandelt, aber trotzdem werden die solzialkritischen Fragen der peruanischen Gesellschaft angesprochen. Dabei wird die Frage gestellt welche Aspekte der peruanischen Realität der Autor in dem Buch kritisiert, die werden genannt und anhand der Beipielen aus dem Buch genau analysiert. Wichtig ist der Aufbau des Romans, der zum Einstieg vorgestellt wird, welche Erzählweisen der Autor benutzt, und aus welcher Perspektive jede die Geschehnisse des Romans darstellt. Viel Aufmerksamkeit wird der pikaresken Eigenschaften "Pantaleón y las visitadoras" gewidmet. Dabei ist der Vergleich mit dem ersten frühen Vertreter des pikaresken Romans "Lazarillo de Tormes" unabdingbar.
