Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Sport, Sportpädagogik, Note: 1,5, Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Institut für Sportwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Oberseminar Sportpädagogik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Sportartenkonzept - wenn man diesen Begriff zum ersten Mal liest, könnte man vermuten, es handle sich um ein sauber definiertes Sportdidaktisches Konzept. Doch wäre dies ein voreiliger Schluss. Man muss sich zunächst einmal vergegenwärtigen, dass das so angesprochene Sportartenkonzept kein theoretisch begründetes, Modell darstellt, sondern das Produkt einer historischen Entwicklung ist. Die Anfänge des Sportartenkonzeptes sind sicherlich in den 20er und 30er Jahren des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts zu suchen, als das Schulturnen nach SPIEß mit seinen Ordnungsübungen durch die Leibeserziehung abgelöst wurde. Diese Entwicklung wurde forciert durch die Olympischen Spiele. Es kam zu einem immanenten Anstieg der Schulsportinhalte. So umfasst der traditionelle Kanon der Schulsportarten seit den 70er Jahren Gerätturnen, Gymnastik/ Tanz, Leichtathletik, Schwimmen, Basketball, Fußball, Handball und Volleyball. Mit der steigenden Zahl der Inhalte verkürzte sich natürlich auch die Unterrichtszeit, die für die einzelnen Sportarten zur Verfügung stand. Dadurch kam es zum Ausbleiben der Entwicklung körperlicher Voraussetzungen und somit auch zum Ausbleiben der erhofften Leistungen. Diesem Leistungsschwund der Schüler wollte man entgegenwirken, indem in den Lehrplänen eine große Zahl weiterer Sportarten zur Wahl gestellt wurde. Angesichts dieser historischen Genese stellt sich für die moderne Schulsportdidaktik die Frage, ob das Sportartenkonzept eine reine Sammlung der Sportarten ist zum besseren Verwalten dieser im Sportunterricht? Wenn dem so ist, sind die Sportarten im Schulsportkanon dann beliebig austauschbar? Oder vermag das Sportartenkonzept mehr zu leisten als die bloße Ordnung der Schulsportinhalte?
