Al desandar los pasos: Al desandar este libro se nota lo que se ha dejado atrás. Al desandar los pasos de la memoria, aparecen lugares, personas, cosas, que un día fueron importantes y cuyo significado ha cambiado (o no) desde el recuerdo. A veces lo vivido parece pertenecer a otra vida, de otra persona; pero no, es la misma andariega mujer poeta y su múltiple experiencia vital.

Temas universales aparecen aquí el amor (y el erotismo), la naturaleza (en su belleza inspiradora y en su condición de prisma para los sentimientos humanos), la muerte (también la celebración de ella); y aparece la mujer, revestida de símbolo de simbolismo heterogéneos, más, en esencia, libre y sabia.

También hay huellas de pasos en dos culturas por las que se ha andado casi con la misma seguridad, de modo que a veces nos preguntamos si el sujeto lírico tiene la voz de una cubana que se fue (emigró) a México, o de una mexicana que alguna vez vivió (sufrió, fue feliz) en Cuba. Todo eso cabe en este corto poemario en verso libre donde, de trasfondo, suena música.

Maricruz Patiño (Ciudad de México, 1950)

Escritora, ensayista, guionista de cine y TV. Estudió Filosofía y Letras en la Universidad Autónoma de México y en la Universidad Iberoamericana. Coordinó la Maestría en apreciación y creación literaria en el Centro de Estudios casa Lamm (1999-2002). Titular de clase de Poesía en la Escuela de Escritores de la SOGEM por más de quince años. Maestra y fundadora de la Escuela Mexicana de Escritores, y de la Escuela de Escritores "Juana de Asbaje". Dirigió al Centro Regional de Cultura Joaquín Arcadio Pagaza de Valle de Bravo.

Premio Nacional de Poesía "Efraín Huerta"(2009) con su libro Árati. Coautora (con Leticia Luna y Aurora Mayra Saavedra) de la Trilogía poética de las mujeres en Hispanoamérica (Pícaras Místicas y Rebeldes) (2004) y de la Antología Cinco Siglos de Poesía Femenina en México (Consejo Editorial Mexiquense de la Administración Pública Estatal, 2011). Incluida en importantes antologías mexicanas se hispanoamericanas. Entre sus libros, destacan: La circunstancia pesa (UNAM, 1979), Voces (Hiperión, 1984), La prosa de un viaje desesperado (Verdehalago, 1990), La misteriosa voz. Obra reunida 1975-2015 (La Cuadrilla de la Langosta, 2015), Solo los solitarios lo saben (Tinta Nueva Ediciones, 2016), La hora de los pájaros (Arde Editorial Chihuahua, 2021).
