About the Book

A jaded assassin seeks refuge in a gambling city. A cop seeks his lost wife. A witch prays to dark gods. Lives collide as the world burns...

"A vivid lead character and a crazy-brilliant core premise make this more than just another action-wracked high concept thriller. But it's ALL THAT too!" (Chuck Dixon, writer of Batman, Bad Times series)

A NEW STANDALONE VOLUME IN THE ASANTI SERIES!

"The sarcastic killing machine is BACK, and she still loves Frank Sinatra and dangerous blondes. DEMORN: SOULFIGHTER is another link in the chain of the life and trial of Demorn, an assassin who is discovering what it is like to have a heart that beats without shame."

Demorn, exile and assassin, has journeyed across the Glass Desert to Bay City to aid an old friend. The Bay is home to the Soul Fights and a welcome respite from the War which consumes her life. But the conflict that is tearing apart Firethorn follows her to Bay City.

As a catastrophic comet descends upon the Bay, Demorn fights to untangle a web of conspiracies surrounding friends and enemies alike. As she uncovers past sins from those she trusts the most, Demorn is slowly drawn into a desperate, last-ditch plan to avoid the destruction of everything, never sure where her loyalties lie.

Meanwhile, Demorn's old friend is developing into something more...
About the Author: From the moment David read a Grant Morrison comic at a tennis court as a teen, his mind was blown, and there was no option but to weave stories of action and reality bending adventure! Storytelling pumps in his veins. Everything from Conan the Barbarian tales, Punisher comics, Julian May's classic time travel adventure series "Saga of the Exiles" through to PD James murder mysteries have been a powerful influence on David's writing.

As a writer, David seeks that sweet spot between fast moving action and character moments inside a vibrant fantasy world. Watching TV in the dead of night, Demorn and The Asanti Series sprung into his mind, virtually unbidden and kicking ass. The Asanti Series began life as a comic outline but had grown into a novel within the first week. By the end of the first month, it was a trilogy. Now, David plans a seven book series and has the notebooks and glassy eyes to prove it!

David is currently based in Sydney, Australia.
