In a continuous battle between good and evil, the planet Muiria faces unprecedented challenges. After defeating the Wraith Lords of Zeiglon and later Taza, a vampire warlock, there is still no rest for the defenders of good. Now, two new threats arise - an evil sorceress named Cyra, the evil goddess, Adois' new champion, and a black dragon - one of the most powerful and evil of all dragonkind.
Prince Tarquin and his wife, Princess Ress are awaiting the birth of their first child. But Tarquin is impatient when he is unable to be of much help. He and his dwarvan friend, Botreg, visit their former comrade in arms, Hority, a Clorian monk, who has fought many battles with them. Upon arrival at the Clorian Compound, they discover the dwarves under attack, leaving many monks dead and the theft of an ancient map. The prince contacts the wizard Celedant, who along with his bonded dragon, Azimuth, Eldahir, and his wife, Morganna, important members of the Wood Elves, and Hority join once more to track down the murdering thieves and discover the map's relevance.
Their journey is long and fraught with danger. Cyra mercilessly attacks a warlock guild in Trudoc, commandeering it and the city as their new leader. Finding the map in her possession, she sends 20 white behemoths orcs, and a powerful warlock after Celedant and the others on two missions: Find where the map leads and take its treasure. The second is that they kill Celedant and his company. What she does not know is that the treasure belongs to an ancient black dragon whose evil is a perfect match to her own.
The race is on. Who will get to the treasure first? Will Azimuth survive the battle with his ancient foe, the black dragon? Will Tarquin make it home in time for the birth of his child? Will the ancient gods go to battle against Adois at the Clorian Compound? Adois's good twin, Adaman, has reached the limit of his sister's evil and commences an epic battle of good versus evil on a scale that no one could have predicted.
