About the Book

The clock is ticking... Death draws near. Emi must find out whether her nightmare is just that - a nightmare - or reality... before it's too late. Emi's life is a nightmare. The face of a drowning girl haunts her: it prevents her rest at night and does not even allow her peace during her waking life. As Emi tries to discover what her nightmares mean, she delves deeper into her long-forgotten past, stirring secrets that she would have preferred to leave unearthed. Meanwhile, the clock ticks, and Emi must race against time to find out how the girl in her dreams died... before the girl kills her.
About the Author: Stacie Evans was born in England, but as of 2011, she has resided in the Netherlands. She is a crazy person who likes cookies. When she's not writing stories, or daydreaming about writing stories, she's probably playing video games or watching Scrubs. Really, though, she feels very passionate about her characters and loves following their exploits. And because she rarely plans anything in advance, how the story will go is often just as much of a surprise to her as it is to you. Stacie Evans studied Psychology at university before dropping out in the third year because of how much she hated Statistics (of which, she feels, there was a disproportionate amount). But writing was always her true dream; one she just didn't dare to follow until she had tried going the 'sensible route' (getting a degree, getting a job, etc., ) and realised it wasn't for her. Anyway, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and to pursue your own happiness, no matter what anyone else thinks. She mostly writes fantasy stories partially based on her own life experiences and her own nightmares and dreams, tackling a wide range of issues such as depression, mental health, abuse, and the feeling of being powerless and alone. Her stories are an attempt to explore her own emotions and she hopes that they can resonate with other people who have perhaps been in similar situations and show them that there is hope. But mostly, her stories are about being human: imperfections and all. Because it's those imperfections that make us perfect.
